Our two cats had a fantastic stay! They were truly spoiled — pampered and clearly loved. The owner went above and beyond to make them feel at home, and we got to see them whenever we wanted on camera that showed just how happy they were. Couldn’t have asked for better care. Highly recommended!

My two boys stayed with Melanie for a week, and I couldn’t have been more grateful. She was wonderfully patient, giving them plenty of time and space to settle in at their own pace. Once they felt comfortable, they were genuinely happy, enjoying all the fuss, cuddles, and playtime, and didn’t want to leave at all!

Our two Radoll boys Rocky and Roman, stayed with Melanie for a week.
From the first point of contact you could see her love of cats and the work she has put in to the cattery.
The cattery has great facilities, was clean, warm and welcoming. My boys loved the home made crochet blankets.
We were able to check-in on them via cameras at anytime and it was lovely to see Melanie playing and brushing them. Our boys were so happy and comfortable with Melanie which is amazing as Rocky is normally very shy with new people. I can highly recommend Poppies Cattery, we will definitely be using them again.

I can’t recommend Poppies Cattery highly enough! From start to finish, everything was so professional, spotless, and incredibly well run.
Mel went above and beyond to make sure my cat, Nala, was comfortable, happy, and completely at ease during her stay. It’s clear she genuinely cares about every animal in her care — she took the time to get to know Nala’s personality and routine, which made such a difference.
The cattery itself is beautifully clean, calm, and welcoming — you can tell it’s been designed with the cats’ comfort and wellbeing in mind. I also loved that there’s a camera system, so you can check in and see your pets while you’re away — such great peace of mind!
Mel’s attention to detail is incredible — she even labeled all of Nala’s belongings, and went out of her way to make my children the sweetest kitty gift bags, which absolutely made their day.
We even received a detailed report of Nala’s stay along with a lovely picture, which was such a thoughtful surprise.
Another huge bonus is that drop-off and collection can be done by appointment, not just during standard business hours, which makes it so convenient.
And honestly, the pictures online don’t do this cattery justice — it’s so beautiful and cozy that I wouldn’t mind spending the night myself! 😊

Milo & Otto stayed at Poppie’s Cattery on my recent trip away. Mel was so loving & kind from the very beginning & I had no qualms about leaving them in her care. The accommodation is 5 star, so clean, comfortable and set in Mel’s beautiful garden. An added bonus is their accommodation has cameras and I could see my boys while I was away! I highly recommend Poppie’s Cattery and would go as far to say it’s the best in Sussex.

Melanie was fantastic! So caring and kind to our cat! Cattery is excellent, large space for the cats, very tidy with plenty of toys. Highly recommend and will be using in the future.

We have used Poppie’s Cattery a couple of times with our two Ragdoll boys. They were looked after very well, and Melanie was a pleasure to deal with. Will be using Poppie’s again in future any time we go away.

Melanie was very helpful and accommodating when our two cats needed a short stay when we relocated to Sussex. The cattery is spotless and very comfortable, and my cats were relaxed when we collected them. I’m sure we’ll use Poppie’s Cattery again.

I don’t know where to begin! Our two cats had the most luxurious stay at Poppies! They were obviously so well cared for over Christmas and came home with excellent reports and some lovely handmade gifts! We have been telling all our cat owner friends about Poppies so expect some enquiries!

I am so glad I chose Poppie's Cattery. The lodges are perfect, cozy, various beds for your cat to move to, lots of toys too. My cats had separate lodges but there was an interconnecting door between, during the day they could roam freely and night closed off.
Mel is totally committed to making sure your cat is comfortable and happy and knew everything about them when collecting!
We loved the cat cams too, occasionally checking in on them. Nice little touch, was the cat stay report, highlighted some parts of their stay, so nice!
I would highly recommend Poppie's, on our next stay away, Romeo and Ellie will certainly return, Thank you Mel.

We recently left our kitten Missy at Poppies Cattery and I honestly couldn’t have asked for better care.
Melanie is absolutely amazing — you can tell how much she genuinely loves and understands cats. Her beautiful “cat hotel” is spotless, calm and clearly designed with their comfort in mind.
One thing we absolutely loved was being able to check in on Missy through the camera whenever we wanted on our mobiles. It gave us such peace of mind while we were away and made such a difference knowing we could see her happy and relaxed.
Missy was in very safe hands and clearly well looked after and loved. We wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend Poppies Cattery — and Missy is already looking forward to her next stay! 🐱💜
